League of Draven: Twist of Draven Cinematic

OK, so before you go watching this video, MAKE SURE you’ve seen the ORIGINAL LoL Cinematic (http://youtu.be/tEnsqpThaFg) first.

This is a parody, using the League of Draven.

Kind of funny. Just thought I’d share. ^.^

Cheers!

First World Girl Gamer Problems –> What to wear at E3?

So this post is going to sound really trivial, especially to the dudes.  But, I’m having this amazing problem deciding what to wear to E3.

Generally, I wear flip flops, a t-shirt/tank top, and comfy jeans or shorts, aka gamer gear.  Looking at pictures of past E3s, I’ve decided that this is pretty much the clothes people wear there, as well.  However, I kinda feel like I should dress up a bit since I’m going as press.

I mean, even the press doesn’t dress up THAT much, but I almost feel like since I’m a girl gamer in a dude-dominated hobby, that I should look good to make a better professional impression.

Meh, maybe I’m making a mountain out of a molehill here.  What do you guys think?  Am I over-reacting, or is my thought process somewhat accurate?

Quantum Break Cover Art

Looks pretty promising. Nice to see there’s going to be a game on Xbox One other than Call of Duty.

What's Your Tag?

Today, Microsoft unveiled the cover art for the upcoming Xbox One game, Quantum Break. This is one of the very first titles to sport the new, green case.

QuantumBreakCover

Quantum Break is the latest project from Remedy Entertainment; the studio behind the Max Payne series and Alan Wake. There is little information available about the game for the time being, but we do know it will blend gameplay with live-action videos. There is apparently a tv series in production that will release with the game. Remedy has stated “how you play the game impacts the show, and the show informs how you play the game.”

Ubisoft promises awesome

Ubisoft is kind of known for their promotions and awesome presentations for their games, especially at E3.  So I’m kind of bummed that I HAVEN’T been invited to the press conference on the 10th for them.  I have been invited to Microsoft and EA’s the same day… but I really would have liked to go to all three.  Chance of a lifetime, y’know?

Anyway, enjoy all the info in the article linked.  There’s a lot of stuff going on for this E3, and it’s hard to sort through all the muck to get to the good stuff.  While I do that, I’m going to take a break and play some ARAMs or something.

SIDENOTE:

IF YOU HAVEN’T SIGNED UP FOR ‘INFINTE CRISIS’ BETA YET, AND YOU LIKE MOBAS, YOU’RE WRONG.  Go.  Sign up.  Don’t ask questions, just do it and thank me later.

Word has it that they’re having an IC tourney at E3 to debut the game.  They’ve linked up with MLG to bring the game to esports.

Cheers.

What…in the crap… is this…

What...in the crap... is this...

Is this real life? Honestly? C’mon Big Fish! ‘Castle’, as much as I like the show, does NOT need its own video game.

I swear, anything that’s even remotely popular gets its own game eventually. I’m sick of it.

Video Games: The Movie update

It seems like gamers are finally tired of being ignored, because VG:TM surpassed its goals with lots of time to spare.  I’m thinking that the stretch goals are likely to be met as well, especially since they want to add epic music.  Everyone loves epic music, right?

I’m surprised, honestly, that something like this hasn’t been made already.  It’s long past due.  Especially with all the flack that the gaming community as a whole receives from the mainstream media.  We like to say that the non-gaming community has been “misinformed”, but that’s really just a nice way of saying “lied to”.

ALSO —> Link to really cool clip from VG:TM regarding violence.  Be sure to check it out.  https://www.dropbox.com/s/gwbxamvz6zlsngi/VGTM_Violence_Kickstart_Vignette_H264_HI.mov

The Great Talon Push

Just thought I’d share a little something from my stream tonight.

We would have won with all that back door mumbo jumbo I went through, but we were all just tired of the game (it ran 1hr9min). And, we lost. lol FED VAYNE FTL.

A preschooler’s beef with Kinect

As I sit here typing, my 4-year old is failing pretty bad on this Kinect game called “Rhythm Party”.  The problem is, he’s actually doing really good, and shouldn’t be failing at all.  He’s there where he needs to be at the right times, hitting the points perfectly.  The problem?  The camera has a hard time finding him.  And it’s not just this game.

Almost every Kinect game he plays has problems.  The sports games, the dance games, the exercise games.  And he’s pretty good at all of them… if only the Kinect could detect him.  I think it’s because he’s so short, but how do you tell a four year old, “Sorry kid, it doesn’t see you because you’re too small.”

I understand the Kinect isn’t meant for very small children like him, but it would be nice if he could clear a game without the Kinect searching for identity, or screwing up his score really bad.  Oh well.  Maybe it’s just trying to save my pride, because honestly he’d be kicking my butt on at least 50% of the games we own.
