I have not wanted a PS… until this game.
I haven’t played on the Playstation since PS2. When PS3 came out, it was really bad timing, and it was really just too expensive. As time wore on, I came to acknowledge the fact that I probably wouldn’t buy one, justifying my reasons with things such as, “There aren’t any games I’m really into on it that are exclusive anyway.” I mean, I already had the X360 and the Wii. Why buy another console if I can get the games I like on those, and even more on the PC?
Well, I have finally found a reason.
This game looks amazing. And everyone is all crazy for it. ‘The Last of Us’ looks like it will probably break records. And I’m not just trying to throw myself on the bandwagon here.
As I received inside looks at the game through press resources, I tried to push it to the side. “I don’t even HAVE a PS3,” I told myself. “So much for that game.”
And then the trailer arrived. And it was astounding.
The graphics look so pure and lifelike. The storyline, from what I’ve seen, really pulls you in. Whoever developed this must have mastered ‘Immersion 101’ with straight “A”s.
And now, Gamestop has their bundle selections out.
This could be the game that finally breaks me, and possesses my mind to buy a PS3. Even though the PS3 is STILL expensive (even refurbished it’s over $200), I might actually try to save some money and buy one now, if only for this game.
What do you think? Is this a game that would change your mind on the PS3? Or would you wait for the PS4?

Exactly! I really am starting to want PS3 these days, and The Last of Us is a large part of that feeling. I am thinking I might just have to do it (when I can afford to, which will be a while sadly). There are a few other games which also look pretty good. Destiny looks promising.
I know! Why couldn’t these have been made upon the release of the system? I may have been more apt to buy it! lol
Seriously. I didn’t get PS3 for the same reason as you — not enough games I was interested in.
