Everyone who is a gamer is familiar with the “misrepresentation of women” conversations that have been going on for years. In the last couple of days, I’ve found a few different articles that have somewhat irked me with the way the conversation is presented. And, honestly, I don’t think complaining about it really does any good in the long run. Let me explain.
I’m not one to talk politics often. It’s not my forte, I don’t like arguing, and I’m not keen on defending an opinion based on very little knowledge of a subject. However, the latest news that has come out of the “Sony Hack Attack” has got me scratching my brain a bit.
Sony ended up cancelling ‘The Interview’. Next, Paramount pulled ‘Team America’ from theaters that were going to show the puppet film in place of the Rogen/Franco debacle. Then I saw an article where they’re cancelling an upcoming Steve Carrell movie that also features North Korea.
Meanwhile, there is a game that I’ve been interested in for awhile now, and it still seems to be progressing towards release. It’s called “Glorious Leader” (found here), and its main protagonist is Kim Jong Un wielding a gun against the capitalist pigs of the American military, with Dennis Rodman as his right hand man. Yes, I just wrote that sentence.
